Education

Our nationwide high school education program, wrkxfmly, gives students the space to share what work and family look like to them.

Learner-Centered Curriculum

Our curriculum emphasizes students’ ownership over their own stories and supports them in telling those stories with printed materials and a dedicated web application.

Professional Mentorship

Students in the program receive feedback sessions with a professional teaching artist who helps them to push their work further. Our team includes photographers, photojournalists, and artists, providing a wide range of influences and inspiration across the program.

Grants Program

Students, teachers, and organizations participating in the wrkxfmly assignment are invited to apply for grants from Working Assumptions. wrkxfmly grants support students in sharing work made for the assignment through exhibitions, publications, or events.

Join a National Program

In 2012, the wrkxfmly program began in one California school. Since then, it has reached 11 states and Washington, D.C., 62 schools and community organizations, and over 2,000 students. Add your school to the program.
