Nolan Trowe is a multidisciplinary artist from California. His work has been published and recognized internationally. The most recent of his many honors is being a Light Work Artist in Residence.

Project: Adopted Family
When I had my spinal cord injury in 2016, I was automatically adopted into the global disability family. Adopted Family is about my community, friends and family. One of the central ideas which is integral to the meaning of the project is that my community and the people within it are my adopted family. Although disability is what ties our community together, we're all individuals with unique lives, experiences and perspectives that transcend the label of "disability," and merge into the greater family of all humankind.
